Classical Conversations: Cycle 1, Week 17

I can’t believe we reached Week 17 already! Whew.

This week we learned about Michelangelo and painted fresco pictures, then we built a rock bridge using books I brought from home. My class did this activity very fast, so we spent extra time reviewing.

The activity I enjoyed planning the most this week was for our presentations. Students picked a topic to talk about from a list of ideas the tutors for each class created. I made a list of questions for my class to choose from rather than topic ideas. I tried to be as creative as possible; I like to let my students use their imaginations as often as I can! Here’s the list of questions from which they could choose:

Tell us about something you’ve dreamed of doing but have never been able to do.

Tell us about the best day you’ve ever had.

Tell us about your favorite food.

If you could be any animal, which would you be and why?

Who would you like to be when you grow up? Why?

Which person from the Bible would you most like to meet? What would you ask him or her?

If a genie offered you three wishes, what would you wish for? (Hint: You may NOT ask for more wishes.)

What is your favorite season and why do you like that season the best?

If you could have any superpower, which would you choose? How would you help other people?

What would you do if somebody gave you 1 million dollars?

I intend to keep these questions around for future use because I enjoyed hearing their answers so much.
