True to the theme of my writing this month, I took most of the words in the two songs below directly from the Psalms. The verses from these two Psalms remind me of God’s steadfast love, faithfulness, and peace. I hope you enjoy these two pieces, and find hope and encouragement in God’s Word in whatever circumstances he places you!
Your Steadfast Love, O Lord (Psalm 36:5-6)
Your steadfast love, O Lord, extends to the heavens,
Your faithfulness to the clouds.
Your righteousness is the like the mountains of God;
Your judgements are like the great deep;
Man and beast you save, O Lord.
(Repeat)
Peace Is Within His Walls (Psalm 122:6-7, references, and my own words)
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem,
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem,
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem!
“May they be secure who love you,
May they be secure who love you!
Peace be within your walls
And security within your towers!” (Psalm 122:6-7)
I come to bring peace; [1]
I come to bring a sword. [2]
Yes, the world will hate me; [3]
Yes, the world will kill me. [4]
Find your rest in Jesus,
Find your hope in him.
Peace is within his walls,
And security is within his towers.
[1] Luke 2:14
[2] Matthew 10:34
[3] John 7:7
[4] Matthew 16:21
